The story about how a Zeiss microscope’s image was placed on the rear surface of a 200 DM bank note. It would have cost more than $100 to acquire this piece of currency at the time of issue. Now, with the advent of the Euro and the discontinuance of the Deutsch Mark, it is merely a piece of collectible currency.
