The Küppenbender shutter for the Contax also appeared on the Super Nettels and the Nettax but no other manufacturer attempted to copy this design because of complexity and cost. It was, however, used by Küppenbender on a portable aerial camera (HKS) that was about to be constructed when the war was ending and Ed Kaprelian had file photos. There were also other examples that came to the Westlicht museum in Vienna of other such Zeiss Ikon cameras that were only first cut prototypes.
